Dearest Hailee Bop,
I must say, this has been the best winter vacation of my life. We have had tons of fun together. Here are some of the things that have happened:
Christmas Jammies
Christmas: You were so excited for Santa Claus to come. You were a little worried that he wasn't going to bring you your Bitty Baby Blond twins....actually, you were convinced that he wasn't.
You were looking for walking Talking doll instead. However, you got her from AUntie Renee. Santa brought you the twins (who have been named Austin and Maycee), a stroller, trundle bed, and clothes for them, a pink DVD player, a movie, and a Jasmin doll.
From others, you received clothes, a Barbie Princess playhouse, a tent for your bed, CD player, games, legos, and all kinds of other things!
After opening presents on Christmas morning, we headed to Aunt Heidi's house to spend time with family, eat a yummy breakfast, and open presents. You loved jumping on Cousin Mallorey and Logan's new trampoline! When we got home, you played with all of your toys while mommy cleaned up a bit. Grandma spent the day preparing a delicious dinner of Lobster, prime rib, ham, cheesy potatoes, green beans, mushrooms, and my favorite, cauliflower salad! It was awesome. Auntie Marysol, Uncle Scott, Andrew, Sofia, and Uncle Brian joined us for dinner and a few games of Chinese Gin. It was an awesome and tiring night!
The next day, we relaxed at home and then headed over to Mallorey's house for her 10th birthday celebration. We got to celebrate daddy birthday too while watching the USC game. Of course, you had fun playing in the trampoline and chatting with Aunt Cici.
The 27th was Daddy's birthday. We didn't do much because it was Sunday and Daddy wanted to watch football all day....imagine that! As the day went on, your room got scarier and scarier with toys all over the place. We put up your tent so that you could sleep in it and I could sleep in your bed. Mommy couldn't stand the clutter anymore so...I did what I do best.....started looking around online for a loft bed for you. And...off to Living spaces we went. We found a bunk bed on clearance that Daddy modified and turned into a loft.
It is so cool and you just loved it. You slept peacefully in it and absolutely love it.
One day, we had a date with Daddy and went to see The Princess and The Frog. It was your first trip to the movies and you did VERY well sitting and watching the movie. Daddy fell asleep for a little while but you were entranced by the big screen. On another day, we had a date at Olive Garden for lunch with Daddy. You sure love Calamari and Raviolis!
First Snow Trip: On Wednesday the 30th, We took you, Hunter and Zephy up to the mountains to play in the snow. We stopped first at Bass Pro Shops to get some snow gloves for everyone. We couldn't find any your size and had to get you big ones that you will eventually grow into....in about 5 years. They kept falling off but they were cute none the less. You wanted to build a snowman but the snow was a little too hard for that. You tried to slide down a hill face first on your belly.
You didn't get far but it was really cute! Hunter Went down a hill on his snowboard and was pretty good at it. We were all very proud of him. Daddy got the idea of having you go down a hill on Hunter's snowboard.
I was a bit apprehensive at first but it turned out great. You had so much fun. It started to snow....just a little bit..and you tried to catch the snowflakes on your tongue. After changing you into dry clothes, we headed into town for lunch. You fell asleep on the drive with your mouth wide open, waiting to catch flies! We ate at a little Italian Restaurant and then watched ice skaters on the rink. There were a lot of people in town and it was a fun, festive, holiday atmosphere. After lunch, we headed back down the mountain. What an awesome day!
On New Years Eve, we kicked back most of the day until it was time to go over to Aunt Heathers for a celebration of a new year and uncle Kevin's birthday. You wore your grown up outfit and you were so proud of yourself. You spent the majority of the night playing Starbucks barista...serving Auntie Beth, Auntie, Evonne, and Auntie Tara some different flavored drinks.
You played with your cousins and we had a great time. We were ready for a new year of good health and fun times.
Yesterday, New Years Day, we headed back over to Aunt Heather's to watch the game, play some cards, and spend some time with the family.
Here's to a great 2010! You are going to be 4 this year! I can't believe how quickly time flies! I love you with all my heart and hope for only the best for you! :)
Happy New Year!
