Hey Boppy! I have some good news and I have some bad news. Which do you want to hear first? Good news is always best for last so...here goes for the bad news.
Last weekend you were sick with a nasty cough and fever. I was about to take you in to the doctor on Sunday morning when low and behold, NO MORE FEVER! I was so excited that I wouldn't have to put you through another doctor visit. You were in a great mood Sunday for Superbowl. At night, you complained about your ear a little bit but you still didn't have a fever so i thought we were in the clear. Monday morning, you had nasty yellowish green dried up all over your ear an in your hair. I thought I cleaned it well but found a ton more when I pickedyou up from Cynthia's house. On Monday night, after your bath, you said you felt stuff coming out of your ear. This morning, Green stuff again! I took you into the doctor, again. And you have an ear infection, again. And you are on antibiotics, again. Wait, it gets better. We went down to ENT to tell your specialist. Guess what...he is on vacation until the end of the month! And wait...it gets better! He has retired so now we have to see a different specialist and WAIT our turn! Goodness gracious! So, it looks like another surgery in the near future. Probably by mid March or so I am guessing.
Want the good news? The good news is.....drum roll please.....you are POTTY TRAINED! You have not had an accident, knock on wood, for about 2 weeks! Today we were gone to the doctors for almost 3 hours and you pee peed in the potty like a big girl and had no accidents. Here is the bigger accomplishment....you are staying dry at night and during naps, even though you have a bit of milk before bed time! You are amazing me Bop.
I hope that we can get you better soon. Life is much easier when you are well. Mommy hurts when you hurt. It is hard to see a little one in pain and not be able to take it away forever. Just know that I love you too much and I can't wait until you don't have that nasty stuff flowing out your ear! hugs and kisses
