Okay Hailee...we have had a lot going on since the last time I blogged.
Last weekend, we celebrated Valentine's Day. You got some new princess bed sheets for your big girl bed. Mommy took the railing off your bed so it is easy for anyone to sit on now. You love your new bedding! You also got two new books...Pinkalicious and Purpleicious. You like me to read them to you and you like reading them to your babies too!
We have been playing Doctor almost every day. That is because you know the routine by now. On Friday, the 13th, you visited a new ENT. They decided that yes you would need new tubes in your ears. As of now, your surgery is set for April 10. On Sunday, the 15th, Mommy had to take you to the Doctors again because you got pink eye. So, we got medication for that and treated it.
This video is of you snoring on our way home from Sofia's 2nd birthday party.
Monday, we started off our rainy day visiting with Tricia and Natalie at coffee. You two played with the seat cushions and ate your yummy donuts and drank your chocolate milk. I think the sugar finally got to you and we had to go because you began chasing each other in the store.
This video is of you with your new headphones that Grandma and Grandpa Hofmans gave to you for Valentine's Day.
Daddy and I were noticing this white stuff on your lip. It looked like whipped cream but it wouldn't come off. It then spread to the tip of your tongue. I thought that maybe it was thrush and I brought you to the doctor on Thursday night to see if they would give you a medicine to get rid of it. By Thursday night, the white stuff was gone from your lip but it looked sore. The white stuff was traveling backwards on your tongue. Dr. Flagg looked deep inside your throat and said it looked like a classic case of Strep throat. Again! You just had it a few weeks ago. After discussing the medications you are already allergic to, She decided to put you on one called Augmentin. In addition, your hives started to rear their nasty little heads. Yikes! What more? Thank God for no fever...yet! So, all medicined up, you and I slept on the couch. At morning time, you woke up and your little lips were soooooo swollen. They looked like they would split if you moved them even a little bit. The white stuff on your tongue looked even worse. Mama, being worried, called for another appointment.

Yes, you had ANOTHER allergic reaction to a medication...Double Yikes. At nap time, Your lips had swelled again and were going up and down throughout the day. Last night, Mama brought you to the doctor AGAIN. Dr Miller, who you seem to be comfortable with because he is the one with all the stickers, said that if the culture does not come back strep, that you have a very severe infection! Lump in Mama's throat and tummy! He put you on a different antibiotic and it cost...drum roll please...over a hundered dollars!!!!!!! So far last week, we spent $250 on office visits, labs, and antibiotics! If I were to add up since the beginning of the year....SHEESH! I know money is not important and what is important here is your health. But...I wish they would just DO something RIGHT so that you wouldn't be in this mess! You are one of the cleanest toddlers I know...we bathe you every night and mama is a germaphobe, so we know it isn't neglect on being clean! You even demand instant cleaning when you you get sticky or dirty!
This morning you woke up covered in hives and with a fever! You hate the Benadryl and the new medicine and are giving Daddy an hard time about taking it. I wish I could take it for you but we both know it won't get you better that way.
I hope that you start to get better soon my little germ girl! Mama wished she could take the hurt away. Take your medicine so that we do not end up in the hospital. I love you Baby Bop!
