Good Morning Bop! How are you today? Mommy is a little tired! You kind of kept Daddy and I up for awhile last night. For some reason, you have become scared of the dark and do not like sleeping in your room at night time, even though you have a night light. Last night, You lay in bed with me watching Max and Ruby. Daddy came in to put you to bed. I could hear him telling you stories and singing with you. You guys laughed and carried on. Finally, he walked back into our bedroom and said that you requested a big hug and kiss.
I went into your room and sang (off key) to you and told you a story or two. By this time, it was nearly 10 and way past Mommy's bedtime. I left you crying in your room. Daddy and I were watching TV for a few minutes when we heard your little footsteps enter the room. We told you to go back into your bed and you didn't want to listen. So we decided to ignore you. At first, you sat on the floor by my side of the bed. You reached up to pull on Zia's tail and to pet him. A couple of times, you would stand up and catch me looking at you. After 5 minutes of banging your binky on the hardwood floor, we heard you walk out. daddy thought you gave up. Me? I knew better. You fetched your princess blanket and came back to your little spot. Daddy and I laughed under the covers. 5 minutes later, you left again. This time you came back with your princess pillow.
We tried to hold out as long as we could. Finally, you got pretty quiet. I got out of bed on Daddy's side and peeked around the corner. You were ALMOST asleep. You raised your head and there was nothing I could do but pick you up off the cold hardwood floor and hold you tight in my arms. The choice words out of your mouth "I love you so much! " Daddy said you could lay down with us for awhile until you fell asleep. Somehow, you stayed with us all night like you always do. Mama wished she had her video camera set up to tape this most funny moment in your life. Scardy Bop, I love you so much. Please sleep in your own bed though, you little wiggle worm!
